Right now, the United States is in the hands of a dangerous and stupid president. Donald Trump is a threat to democracy. I want him and all his cronies out of the government. The dream is that Trump is put in jail and his list of confidants turn on him. Next, all the liars and idiots peddling him will lost all their base and voice and are left to beg in the streets for crumbs- which will not be given. Their allegiance will be remembered and justice will be served. The whole base needs to be toppled over, scrambled, and confused so that the fat man at the top can fall.
The problem is that Trump is currently one of the most powerful persons on the planet. More than this, he has friends in congress and in powerful places that keep him safe. Even big companies and agencies are bending their knee to him. What am I, a nobody, supposed to do then? I cannot really fight with much. I am not financially flexible enough to fund great revolts, I do not have a voice that people listen into. I am just an isolated angry citizen.
The question is- what gives Trump his power? His power comes from being in a place of great influence in the White House. He has the powers granted to him to do many things by law. More than this, he is extending his power by staffing loyalists who can make sure he gets his way in almost any area of society. This is scary.
The problem is that I cannot take that away from him. That requires the absolute focused effort of the public. And, like myself, the public is scared to put themselves out their openly criticize Trump, viciously. How can you make a change when you are scared to speak your mind openly? It is hard, and that is exactly what Trump wants. He wants you to be afraid, that is how dictatorships work.
The opportunity is that the internet is still a place of democratic openness. You can share your thoughts from behind a screen and anyone who wants to listen can listen. The risk is that you spend time doing this and nobody sees it and you wasted your time and made no impact. The key then, is a coalition- a group of like minded people can make a bigger impact than an individual.
Therefore, to achieve my goal of toppling the MAGA movement and making Trumps grasp on power weak and null, given the circumstances, it is most effective if I make or find a group of people dedicated to opposing Trump and getting engaged with it deeply.
